YPSI 24 is proud to present an evening of films produced by local filmmakers who have participated in the YPSI 24-Hour Film Shootout. The program will include special screenings of new short films by local award-winning filmmakers Adam Wright and Vladimir Leshchenko, and will include an audience Q & A.

ASPECTS
Directed by Adam Wright
A man is living in two simultaneous realities; in one he is Roy McPhearson, a dangerous criminal on the run who has manipulated an innocent girl into living a secluded life with him in the woods; in the other he is Sterling, a struggling actor who puts on the front of a lavish life. When Sterling screens a performance of his for a young actress, the screen becomes a portal through which the two realities intersect.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Adam Wright is a writer, director, and cinematographer from Ypsilanti, Michigan.  His films examine people's desire to control the world around them and what happens when they lose that control. He has directed and shot films that have won Audience Award, 2nd Place, and Best of Show at the YPSI 24-Hour Film Shootout.  Adam&s featured short, "Aspects" won Best Editing at the Milledgeville Film Festival in Milledgeville Georgia.

OUTER DARKNESS
Directed by Vladimir Leschenko
The woods where Ethan has been hiding have a mysterious and other worldly presence.  After he refuses to return to the city where a life of crime waits for him, he has an experience that changes his life forever.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Vladimir Leshchenko is a writer, director, and actor from Ann Arbor, Michigan. His films explore the spiritual connection between people and the environments they inhabit.  He starred in "Times Up"; the 2nd Place winner of the 2013 YPSI 24-Hour film Shootout. This screening of his short, "Outer Darkness" will be its world premiere.
